Originally intended as an educational symbol set, The Structure of Ego took a more playful route as my stylistic inclinations led me towards an animal theme. Each symbol is inspired by a branch of Odens' “structure of Boredom” diagram. As I delved into my research on his work, I explored the traditional affiliations between certain animals and the structural concepts; this is what led me to my final illustration pairings.

The SIFF DocFest posters are intended to capture the curiosity and depth of documentary storytelling, using a clean yet expressive visual language that feels both contemporary and inviting. A recurring line motif threads through the compositions, symbolizing the fluid motion of film and the continuous unfolding of real-world narratives on screen.
